Getting involved in PacificTA

If you work in a public service organisation including local government, and are based in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Kiribati – you may be eligible for technical support through PacificTA.

Please email the team for more information.

New Zealand based involvement

If you work in local government in New Zealand you are eligible to lend your skills to the PacificTA. Please email the PacificTA Manager with a brief description of your skill set.

Ongoing mentoring

Building peer to peer relationships is a fundamental part of the PacificTA programme. Many participants enjoy an ongoing mentoring relationship with informal advice and support continuing outside of visits.

I think it’s been really important having that continuity – and that’s why I have stayed with this. I think it’s a fantastic project and I’d like to see an outcome from it (not only from the time I’ve put into it, but locally)…I’ve built a good knowledge of the project, and the continuity has been important. I look forward to the outcome.
