Welcome to PacificTA – the local government initiative that teams New Zealand-based technical experts with their counterparts in Pacific Island countries. PacificTA – or Local Government Technical Assistance Facility for Pacific Island Countries – has been running since 2012.
PacificTA helps Pacific Island managers to provide public services such as environmental management (e.g. water and air quality) infrastructure and asset management, town planning, transport planning, and public health and safety programmes such as dog control and building control.
We encourage you to get involved in the PacificTA programme and see first-hand the results that can be achieved when practitioners work together towards a common goal for their community.
