Dog shelter design

The welfare of the dog is an important consideration in all aspects of dog management, from the design of the shelter to other equipment used in dog management activities.

A well designed shelter supports staff in their work, and is a welcoming environment for anyone collecting or adopting a dog from the shelter.

A well designed shelter will make it easy to move dogs around safely, keep the kennels and shelter area clean, and maintain records of the dogs.
